For airport transfers, we recommend booking a Grab in advance. The international airport (HKT) is approximately 30–40 minutes from Bang Tao depending on traffic.

Money & ATM Tips
Thai ATMs charge a flat fee of 220 THB per withdrawal. Withdraw larger amounts less often to avoid paying repeatedly.
SuperRich Thailand (orange/green) offers the best rates. Avoid airport kiosks and hotel exchanges — they charge high fees.
Big malls, hotels and restaurants accept cards. Markets and street food are cash only. Always carry some THB on you.
Kasikorn Bank (KBank) and Bangkok Bank at Boat Avenue, ~5 minutes away. Both accept international cards.
Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory. 20–50 THB at restaurants, 100–200 THB for tours and spa treatments is standard.
Many shops and restaurants accept QR code payments. Revolut and Wise work well in Thailand for low-fee spending abroad.
